Glock 43x Dimensions - The 2019 SHOT Show kicked off early, with Glock announcing a pair of new 9mm compact pistols that will be available to US shooters in late January. This new bundle of gifts is aimed at potential carry enthusiasts looking to increase the capacity of their Slimline pistols. Both the G43X and G48 boast a 10+1 round capacity in standard Glock single-station magazines.
As you may have noticed, both pistols have silver nPVD slides. This gives them a two-tone look and visually differentiates them from the baseline. Both slides have front and rear serial numbers and Glock "Made in Austria" markings.

The Glock 43X and Glock 48 may look familiar to you. They both share trendy design features from the previously released Slimline series. Glock hopes these changes to the original Glock 43 pistol frame will make this new weapon suitable for concealed carry. It's clear that more American shooters are comfortable with 9mm cartridges as we continue to see more rifles being introduced to the market.
Sig P365 Vs. Glock 43
If the Glock 42 was the answer to the popular Ruger .380 LCP pocket pistol, the new G43X makes a bold statement for other 9mm single barrel pistol manufacturers. They haven't reinvented the wheel, but they seem to have listened to their core users' feedback on the Slimline pistol design. Glock has cleverly incorporated elements of the Slimline series, such as a shorter trigger range, as well as an integrated beaver and reverse magazine catch. Pick up any pistol and you'll see a GLOCK Marksman Barrel that fits the slide. Glock plans to release two pistols in three different configurations: Standard, Glock Night Sights, and Ameriglo BOLD.
So what exactly is the difference in size with the new Glock pistol? We reviewed the new Glock 43X and Glock 43, as well as the new G48 and G19 Gen 5. See the tables below.
Both the 43X and G48 are slightly larger than the original G43. Comparing the Glock 43X to the Glock 43, they have the same frame, and the slide is slightly longer (6.85 inches) than the 43X on the G48. (The G43X has a slide length of 6.06 inches compared to the original G43.)
At first glance, the G43X and G43 have the same slide width. The G43X is 1.10 inches wide. The G48 looks like a slimmer version of the G19. It has a slightly longer barrel (4.17 inches) and a slim frame.

As we all know, the shooting and hunting community is so well organized and powerful. It turns out that Sootch00's review of the Glock 43X was misposted before January 2nd. While this doesn't work for Sootch, it does allow those unfamiliar with the new gun to see the Glock 43X as well as the Glock 48.
The sales chart obtained by RECOIL appears to be 100% accurate, and every chart on the list seems to match the information we provided during the original Glock 43X reveal we reposted here last week.
As of this writing, Sootch's Glock 43x review video is not yet listed, but it can be embedded. If the video is still alive, that is

So, now that we have some screenshots from the Glock 43X review, it's time to dig into some details. Compared to the Glock 43, the Glock 43X lives up to expectations, with the Glock 43 bolt mounted on a slightly wider frame and housing a new 10-round magazine. A little about magazines.
As RECOIL predicts, the rifle will have a series on bolt on front and rear. A nice touch if not well executed. The servers are too close to the mouth, forcing the user to dangerously raise their hands to the ice.
I have to say that even though I haven't handled the gun, the gun looks unfinished due to the thin slide. I'd like to see the slide the same width as the frame, not just for aesthetic reasons, but to see the MRDS sights and to provide more acquisition space when the gun is hit hard.
Although I only took one shot from my review of the Sootch Glock 43X with a recoil spring, I am 99% confident that the slide on the Glock 43X will work on the Glock 43 frame. I think they use the same internals as the 43 and include the lock. . It doesn't make sense to develop all new parts.

It's also worth noting the lack of a cut to stop the ambi. Why didn't Glock take the time to bring the new pistol to Gen 5 configuration?
Will the Glock 43X work in a Glock 43 holster? Honestly, I don't think so. I'm sure the extra grip width will affect the placement of the good kydex holes. It fits nicely into any brand of leather bag that most of the target population owns, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I think this gun is built for the conclusion.
I photographed a Glock 43 in the Tencor VELO hole and showed it with an arrow, an area that I believe would not allow most Glock 43 connectors to accept a Glock 43X.
The short answer is no. Sutch even includes it in his Glock 43X review, but we'll go deeper into why it doesn't fit, other than being more general.
Size Matters: Glock G43 Vs G43x Black
Looking at the magazine in the photo, it looks like Glock took a 10-round Glock 19 magazine and removed the extra space behind the sleeve to create a 1.5-round magazine. Since the Glock 43 magazine is similar to the 1.25 magazine, the new version will not work with the older Glock 43.
If you look at the back of the magazine, you can see how the witness holes differ. Comparing the new Glock 43X magazine to the 10-round Glock 19 magazine, it's not hard to see how different they are.
I took a photo of the 10 round Glock 19 mag cut open to better illustrate the situation. When I say Glock removed the extra space on the back of the magazine, I mean the "hippie" area marked with an arrow.
The Glock 43X/Glock 48 magazine will also have a redesigned stock that looks more like a double stock than the flat stock on the Glock 43. stock. Not a pile.

So what is the difference between the Glock 43X and the Glock 48? Sutch puts them side by side in his Glock 43X review for a better look.
It seems to have a scope and a slightly longer barrel. From what I can tell, the frames are the same as the Glock 45 frame (we also posted this info) and the MOS Glock 17 frame.
At the bottom of the slide you can see there is a port to change the front sight like a Glock 34 or Glock 17L slide.
Surprisingly, Sootch didn't actually mention this in his review of the Glock 43x, but two thumbs up, right? Simply put, I think this tool is made for the food community. Why do I say that? I'm glad you asked.
Glock 43 Vs 43x: A Face Off
The NP3 elevates the covered bolt pistol grip, which 1911 fashion has historically complained about with black Combat Tupperware pistols. Everyone knows that silver is more subtle, even if the functional coating on the outside of the slide isn't actually useful.
My guess is that the Glock 43X is one of those pistols where someone says, “Why not, we have a frame and a slide. Gaston Jr, start the internet machine and tell people we've made something to compete with the SIG P365.
While I don't have a photo of Sootch with a Glock 48, I really feel that guys his age are the target demographic for the Glock 48.
